Nothing wrong with an opinion, even unpopular ones to an extent, but there are are decent and shitty ways of expressing them. If all someone does is deliberately go for the second option, then I've no sympathy for any "witch hunt" they have to endure (not that Barton will care in the slightest).

Witch hunt against him? It may have escaped your attention but he's orchestrating a witch hunt against female pundits, big hard man that he is. If you're going to give it out, expect a receipt.

As for him being a bright spark, that's just an indictment of how shit we really were. He was a violent thug; that was his only level.

This notion that Barton is now some hero for the everyman is laughable given his history.

Nobody saying hero, and irrelevant of how shit we were at the time, what I said about him as a player when with us is correct, you don’t have to agree and I’m sure you won’t but he gave us his all when on the pitch, you didn’t go at that time if you can’t agree with that

You like many others can look at it from a perspective of what he’s chatting now, but from a City fan perspective he was ok, and I’ll never lambast past players, and although he’s going on too much he’s right to some degree what he’s saying, but as for a notion he’s some sort of hero is fucking way off the mark

But it created a debate I suppose in your way of saying how much you dislike him

They try and please don't tell me the situation with HAVING to have a woman pundit/commentator on a football show is not an agenda.

I just want to hear good pundits, good commentators, not be forced into a box ticking exercise.

Watched a re-run of our fightback against Spuds in the FA Cup the other night, the 3-4 (must be best part of 20 years ago), and fair enough (although he got sent off) when he was on the pitch he was giving his all, getting stuck in. Great to see.

I'd also long since forgotten their American keeper at the time, Keller?

Someone at work yesterday took it to the next level and moaned that there was a female ref at the snooker.
Do people just have it too easy so they need to find anything to moan at? I can't imagine my blood pressure rising because I saw a female reffing the snooker. Unless she had big knockers, am I right fellas?

I don't give a @hit about Mr Barton of his views on anything but just like you and me, he has the right his opinion and in this case he has a valid point in my opinion.

The way he makes that opinion may well be questioned but not the content.

I disagree. He doesn't have the right to an opinion on women's involvement in our game because of the way he's treated women in the past, and other human beings in general. Anyone who beats women doesn't get to preach to the masses about what they can and can't do in a society that should be for everybody. He has precisely zero respect for women, and I subsequently have zero respect for his "opinion".
