I listen to a podcaster called james english who himself is a bit of a bell but hes interviewed some interesting people. The david icke episode was tremendous.

Anyway, im half way through the joey barton one.
Barton is clearly a narcissist. Nothing is his fault, everyone is stupid but him, hes always right.
Every incident hes been involved in was someone elses fault.
He constantly repeats “im from a council estate and thats how we deal with things”, all the way through, as though that makes a lot of his actions ok.

The biggest laugh was when he said “people of liverpool are very principled people” hahahahaha

I'm sure many of us on here are from council estates but have never really felt the need to put out a cigar in someone's eye.

It's rarely a good excuse for anything, certainly not scummy behaviour.

Exactly. Honestly its every five minutes hes excusing himself for some other fuck up in his life “because im from a council estate, im from liverpool, its just how we are” (said in a whiny scouse accent)

I finished it today. It pretty much ended with his 18 month ban for gambling. Despite knowing the rules he signed up to , he was only having a few bets here n there. Then 2 mins later he said the total he gambled was £400k!

Steve McLaren did it and I know plenty of people who go abroad and either shout at foreign people or indeed just weirdly pick up the accent without the words :)

I can't get my head around it but there it is.
