Joey Barton

I prefer to remember him as a former Newcastle United player, especially on that occasion that the Toon fans were chanting “We’re got Joey Barton!” to rib us and we mockingly chanted back “You’re got Joey Barton!!”, the look on the thug’s face as he sat on the bench was priceless…:)
I remember with a benign smile his manager, also new to Newcastle, explaining that he'd signed Joey because he was a very talented player and he didn't know what Manchester City had done with him, because he, BFS, had always found players no difficulty to deal with. Unfortunately Joey was in jail before he got to play for Newcastle and BFS had got the sack before he got out! A touching story full of pathos and which shows the whims of the fates and the dangers of a big mouth.

Jamie Pollock described Kevin Horlock's sending off for aggressive walking against Bournemouth as 'a holocaust of a decision' back in 1999.
Thats either a load of Pollocks or a load of Horlocks. I'll check with Suzi Dent above as to which is correct.

See, the poor Scouser is really a nice young man going about his job and everyone claims he`s nothing more than a thug.
Shame on you all for giving him a bad name. ;)
One hell of a defence team he has ... still better than his Rovers team.
The prosecution should have called Oliver Dabo and James Tandy as character witnesses.
