Barton was appointed in Feb last year with club already in trouble. They were duly relegated. He sold 21 players and brought in 17. Once they bedded down, they began to win. Amazing turn round. Will this be the making of Sir Joseph? He’s still a twat, though.

Nope....that would be making it as a top level professional footballer,while being far from naturally gifted and being written off on several occasions.He literally dragged himself to a standard most can only dream of.

We could do with some more of that mentality in our current squad.
