According to his agent Per Jonsson so however, it is Manchester City who are Guidettis first choice. - John do not want to play in Twente, but how this is I do not know the current situation. Lawyers working on it for both parties. I really hope that this resolves itself with City, says Jonsson said.

FC Twente are angry over continued delays from John Guidetti about joining them on a Bosman.

The Swedish striker had appeared all set to sign for Twente after coming off contract at Manchester City last month, but has not been seen at the Dutch club since before the U21 European Championships.

There are now reports that Guidetti is doing his preseason at City - which has infuriated Twente directors.

TC Tubantia says Twente are now considering a demand for compensation from Guidetti for messing them about this summer.

If and its a big if it came down to something like Twente wanting compo from Guidetti.
I would think that City would pay a nominal amount to Twente

Don't know if it's already been posted but just seen this on Reece Warbara's twitter:

"Great 1st day back training! Good to see @superguidetti back and new signing Gael!"

Does that mean he's staying then?

Click Manchester reporting that Juventus are interested. Apparently he's scored twice at the U21 Euro's, despite the fact Sweden aren't even there!

Juventus target Manchester City striker

According to reports Juventus are making an eleventh-hour bid for Manchester City striker John Guidetti.

Guidetti is out of contract at the end of June and will be a free agent.

He is believed to have a long-term offer on the table from Dutch side FC Twente.

However, it seems the Italian giants have been tracking the the Swede's progress in the Under-21 European Championships in Denmark in which he has found the net twice.

It is reckoned that Juve’s interest has caused the forward to rethink his plans for next season.
We cant let him go if he scores in competitions he is not involved in, imagine that

City won the charity shield today thanks to a brace from Guidetti who is having another pina colada on marbella beach

cant see him going to twente half their stadium has collasped they arnt sure how long it will take to pass health and safety and are having to look for somewhere else to play home games, not exactley the place to go when they struggle to keep players and supporters safe?????

Okay, it's been confusing but the matter seems resolved now. He had some kind of pre-contract with Twente, but in the end he didn't want to play for them. The matter is resolved according to the Twente media relations guy.

The latest from Guidetti's agent is that City wants him to stay and he wants to stay at City.
