Swedish media saying the loan to Turkey is off, that City rather want him in the Championship and that he needs to get his general fitness up. They say City (Sam Cooke) has confirmed to them that he wont leave until January earliest.

They say he is now injury free though. (Source, not Cooke)

He always puts an optimistic spin on things, the worlds a wonderful place according to him......

Good news to know his legs are now stronger than they were before the injury. So he's missing match fitness, which kind of goes without saying, and I think keeping him at the club until the January t-window is the best thing to do.
Or maybe he can go out on loan to a Championship side outside the window?

Maybe because he had an extremely serious injury which ruled him out for the whole season... he's closer to the first team than any of our youth.

No - he had the illness before the end of the 2011-12 season. That's a whole season and a quarter he's missed. He's behind Dzeko, Aguero, Negredo and Jovetic which means even if he is fit he won't play this season. The club has therefore to decide whether to sell him or loan him out. He's a footballer who never plays.

He suffered a knee injury last season while recovering from the illness,it wasnt a good two years for John......

The problem was the virus that attacked his central nervous system which left him with paralysis of his right leg also was part of the reason why he got his knee injury!
Once he came back from his virus he only had a few weeks of training before he was picked for the EDL that's when he started picking up injuries like his calf and then his knee, what the coaches should have realised is that John was out for a good year with his virus which he got whilst still on loan at Feyenoord and rushing him back into matches was a stupid idea as he had already lost a massive amount of match fitness and muscle mass not being able to do any training for a good year!
I remember seeing pictures of him when he went dead skinny and looked nothing like a footballer then as he progressed he started putting muscle and weight on and now he looks more like a footballer then he did when he went to Feyenoord.

A quote from John showed how serious the injury was and how close to the end of his career he was.....

A professor in the hospital where I was being treated said my career was hanging by a very thin thread. I burst into tears. I saw my whole future crashing down.

I really hope this lad can get himself fit, and push for a first team place. I've got fingers and toes crossed for him, that he doesn't suffer a setback and break down again. Hopefully half a dozen or so games in the reserves and he'll be back somewhere near match fitness, hopefully.
