As far as I remember, when his contract expired with City, we paid 3 Million to let him sign new contract !

Being loaned to a Dutch side makes no sense at all.
He needs to be loaned to a Prem side for the whole season - with a guaranteed number of starts/minutes on the pitch built in to the deal.
Although Sunderland would seem a good idea - perhaps that isn't such a good idea now that his agent, Roberto Di Fanti, is now DOF at Sunderland.
It needs a recall clause for injury to one of our other strikers.

Mark Hughes is ready to launch a raid on his old club Manchester City for John Guidetti.
Stoke boss Hughes wants to beef-up his attack and is planning a £5.5million swoop for the Swedish international striker.
The 21-year-old was assured last summer that he had a future at the Etihad after coming back from a goal-laded season-long loan with Feyenoord.
He plundered 20 goals in 23 outings for the Dutch giants and was handed a new three-year deal on his return to Manchester.
But the Stockholm-born hit-man has become disillusioned after failing to make the break-through into City’s first-team under former manager Roberto Mancini
