John Guidetti's latest transfer 'request' - Galatasaray

How on earth does he think he's 'god's gift'? He wants to play football, he's 20, he needs to be playing regular football, he's probably slightly worried that he may not prove his fitness in time to get a move and may be stuck as City's 5th choice striker for the coming season. I haven't once read an interview in which he has demanded a spot at City. I hope he signs an extension an then gets a loan for the coming season to a club in one of the big leagues, I'm sure his football next term will demand a spot in our squad, sure of it.

i'm sure your comment is aimed at mine. but all i;m saying is that, he wants a guaranteed starting spot at city. we have aguero, dzeko, balo and tevez and he expects to start?!?! i wouldnt mind if he said i would love to stay and fight for a starting place. thats what i would prefer to hear. i understand he wants first tea football, but you dont get it gifted to you especially when there are 4 top class strikers ahead of you. you have to work for it

Well he is watching as we try to sign van Persie so why should he fight for a place? We're giving him no window of opportunity. If he stayed as fifth choice striker, the most he would get would be Carling and FA Cup games which is not enough for one of the most promising 20-year-old strikers in Europe who has probably over a dozen teams after him. So as much as it pains me as a follower of City's youth setup and Guidetti, it is probably best if he leaves. Preferably on loan while signing a longer contract as there might be a small chance of him getting a chance in the near future with Tevez/Dzeko/Mario's futures always in question, but even if they all left we'd probably just buy three world class strikers to replace whoever leaves as we seem determined to be the only team on the planet to have four world class strikers. If only Guidetti was a winger or midfielder where we're less interested in stockpiling talent, he might have that window of opportunity here.

Yep, that's fair enough John. You're not going to get into our team and you don't have forever to wait around to do so.

Good luck, goodbye. Don't ever bother us again.

Have to agree. He's got potential no doubt, but if we're going to invest in an ego, its gotta be worth it, as with Mario.

Well, a lot of people think he'll be a top class in two, three years. Scored 20 goals (+ 8 assists) in 23 matches in his FIRST season. If we won't try him... I understand why he wants to leave. And it'll be similar with players like Denis Suarez or Rony. And Karim Rekik with only 1 year left on his contract. Let's be honest... Mancio is a shopaholic.

Guidetti's at it again...

John Guidetti - 'Galatasaray are in the Champions League, my doors are open'

"It's great to attract interest from such a club, Istanbul is a lovely city and Elmander has spoken highly of Galatasaray to me a number of times. .... etc etc

What's the latest? are we keeping him? would he go to Galatasaray? they have Champions League and are pretty high profile. I don't think we should sell him but we could loan him again if he's not going to play.

Surely he is just fishing for a loan deal....

Well he better go out and shop because his bag is empty..

If has not got the desire to try and break in the side then there is not much point him being here. His illness was unfortunate, however what he has shown when he played a few games for us was not the standard to make us think he is worth keeping in my harsh but fair opinion.
