I think Gary's turning - first the comment about dodgy crowd figures at the swamp and now saying moving to City and Guardiola was the best thing for Stones's career.
He doesn't like Mourinho neither

In front of the cameras post-Sunderland and pre-CL. Interesting.

Adamant he's future captain potential, and this is known within the club.

What did Neville say about crowd figures at the Swamp?

He's an excellent analyst, always gives a fair, balanced and insightful opinion. Great to see he rates Stones so highly.

MNF is worth watching even if it's West Brom v Stoke, just for the punditry. Love the way they highlight things that the rest of the pundits and journos don't even understand. Carragher's analysis of the inverted full backs was good too, as was Neville's comments on Stones.

Shame Neville didn't advise Woy to perhaps mark the target from Iceland's long throws with someone other than Wayne! Easy to analyse harder to forecast. Pep is a master and Stones looked right at home in a City shirt with that style of play. He has a lot of similarities to Pique and as many have said he's potentially a future captain of the club. So good on the ball and when the rest of the team gel it will be fantastic. Bravo will be another key addition which should lead to more confidence in our defenders. He's able to manipulate space for others well, even by shifting the ball from his right to left foot to play a pass.

My thoughts as well.

If he didn't close and the shot came from the edge of the box and went in, he'd have been crucified for standing off.

You can see him trying to tell others to cover him so to me it definitely looks like there's some intelligence there.

He'll prove to be better than any of pellegrini's centre half signings.

Having just seen the goal, there is no question that he dropped a large bollock imo but there must have been 4 or 5 mistakes which all contributed & any one mistake not happening would have prevented it, from the throw in, to DeBruyne not picking up, Stones suicide run & both Kolarov & Clichy ignoring DeFoe.

Perfect storm of individual mistakes.

i think he gonna end up being our captain in the future.

Why? Because he's English and can pass a ball?

Don't get me wrong, he looked good in the system and he's made me a believer, but I've seen nothing in the lad yet that says he's a captain. He lets the football talk for him, which is great, but I dont see any command of the field from him. Not all great players need to have it, but great captains do.
