£47m is an absolute bargain. So composed on the ball him and bravo stood out a country mile today in terms of keeping their cool when being pressed. I don't think Otamendi's a bad partner for him but him and Kompany would be excellent together particularly in defending counter attacks due to their excellent reading of the play.
 
Stones is the big plus from a disappointing day.....what a great talent he is.
 
His movement with the ball today was very good he's playing top notch for us at the moment. I'm still in shock he didn't play against Celtic.
 
By far our best player today. Superb. So young too.

One thing I have noticed this season that I hadn't noticed before is how good he is in the air.
 
Our best player today. Went past players with ease. He is class on the ball. Saved the team on multiple occasions with his defensive play.

Ice cold, feels no pressure.
 
Agree best player for city by some distance ..... glad we have him. Just wish vinny was alongside him with 2 decent full backs.
 
Amazing how easily he makes things look and never seems to break into a sweat, scary how good this lad can get as he still learns his craft.
 
Masterclass by Stones today. Best player on the pitch for us. That driving run forward late into the 2nd half was amazing, putting a fitting cap onto his best performance this year.
 
As others have said "Class In a Glass".

It will take Pep at least 4 transfer windows to sort the defense and midfield out (with strength in depth). January is never a good time to buy a player but maybe we will have to buy. Maybe?

Maybe. Who knows what exactly led to Samir going out on loan. But it seems to have been the case that Pep offered Samir the chance to stay and compete for a starting spot - no one is guaranteed a spot. And Samir chose to leave. So I think the odds of us ever seeing Samir in a City jersey again are pretty low.
