He really looks to be taking on the responsibility of leading the defence, I think playing with Kompany at the back end of last season and start of this one is rubbing off on him. I think having Walker at the side of him is a big help too, he's not getting dragged out into wide areas as much so isn't as exposed 1v1. Long may it continue.
