John Stones

Looking forward too it if it does go through, Pep can mold him and turn him into a fantastic CB for us hopefully.

Will be a crazy fee but oh well it is what it is.

With Stones and Laporte rumoured to be coming in and with Denayer coming back to join up with Kompany, Otamendi and Mangala, are we looking at a potential 3-5-2 situation here?

Personally, I admire what Stones brings to the table. He's stable on the ball and likes to play it out patiently, decent in the air, but his concentration is seriously poor sometimes. I hope he can sort that out.

Considering that this is from Barcelona's point of view all this means is that Stones and his representatives have chosen City, which is of course good news. The hurdle was always going to be to convince Everton to let go of him for a reasonable price though, Chelsea went through this ride last summer and couldn't strike a realistic deal, so I imagine we'll probably have to pay upwards of £40m.

Personally I don't really care about the price as long as Stones ends up a City shirt, he has immense natural talent and under the proper guidance could become one of the world's best ball-playing defenders, but it could lead to a long and drawn out saga.
