Buying a 50m defender on the basis that the new coach can teach him to defend is risky. For that money you want to throw your hat on the rack.
£50 million - I'm done
I hope of this too. If anyone can get the best out of Stones it's Pep. However it is a process and I would like that be reflected in how we are paying everton. He's not exactly their fan favourite there were times last season their supporters called for him not to be played.
I'm reliably informed that if Bony goes the other way the payment structure will rely on Bonys goal rate.
The value of the deal "£50m" is based on Wilfs transfer value plus cash. £10m is offset against performances.
I don't know the exact figures involved but let's say for example if City win the title we would need to pay Everton an additional £5m, but if Wilf bags 20 goals, that £5m will be cancelled out.
This is a complex deal, so I wouldn't expect it to close quickly as it stands. If Everton decide not to take Wilf, then it makes the deal easier to put together...
Talk about complicated,it would be easier to just buy but Stones and sell Wilf seperatelyI'm reliably informed that if Bony goes the other way the payment structure will rely on Bonys goal rate.

Probability Bony going there must have gone down as Lukaku had a very poor Euro tournament.I'm reliably informed that if Bony goes the other way the payment structure will rely on Bonys goal rate.

Fucking hell so we'd have to rely on Bony scoring goals to get some money back?!
Or have I read that wrong??
And do you think they'd sell if we offer something really low and then raise it? The£50m will include performance clauses, just like Sterling's does but the press seem to forget that when it's us
