John Stones

We are "close" and because both would like to focus on other targets might want to push this one through now, espcicially since they aren't budging. The Saturday date I mentioned before is right before the Arsenal game and a week before the season.
You could be right. Although, usually a club would seek a replacement before selling a player. Otherwise they lose bargaining power. As far as I'm aware they're quite far from buying a replacement. Koeman seems keen to give a few of their players a chance to prove themselves before he makes more big money signings - hence why I doubt it will be before their next few games.

Either way there is no rush on this one. He's definitely coming to City, or so I've heard. It's just politics holding it up.

If Everton have given up trying to hold on to him this will be done and dusted within the next few days. They need to get a replacement in fast. Doubt very much if we will see Stones play a competitive match for Everton again. How will he get on at City? Personally I think he will be a big success but then again !!!
I think he'll be a success. He's young and you'd imagine Pep will get the best out of him.

Could be our equivalent to Rio Ferdinand at the rags?

They've been linked with koulibaly for the longest time, competing with Chelsea over that signature and lately Bruno Martins Indi. Both pricey prospects that it's going to take that Stones fee to get one of them especially since they would be dealing with Porto for Bruno.

I think he'd be an excellent signing. We've got some very experienced defenders on our books that he can develop that side of his game from but his ability on the ball is unquestionable. I see Tosin in a similar light. I think he's a brilliant prospect but sometimes a bit complacent and other times a bit panicky on the ball. The basics are there though and physically Tosin is just a wall at times. I think Stones would be an excellent addition.

Rumour has it that the De Bruyne deal is "only speculation" according to Pellegrini.

I loved that. I did like how Pellegrini didn't give the press anything after April 2015 when the "dead man walking" stuff came out.

"Manuel, Kevin De Bruyne was spotted in the stadium, is a deal near?

"I don't talk about rumours, sorry"
