John Stones

Though I don't think Bony fits us, I think it's cheeky as fuck of Everton to demand £35m and Bony for Stones. If this is a window in which Troy Deeney had bids of £30m then Bony is worth a similar amount.
Problem, as always, is the wages. He will prob take for example a 30/50k per week dip which over 4 years is between 6 and 10mil that we have to knock off asking price. So it's about right, imo.

When you consider Ross McCormack has just been bought for £12m in the Championship you'd have to say £15m for Bony is a little undervalued.

Maybe, but you can always find particular transfers to fit a narrative. "If Riyad Mahrez only cost £425,000..." etc and so on. Plus you've got to factor in Bony's considerable salary, which probably has to be offset and drives down any potential fee.

Everything is relative though. If Watford are turning down £30m for Deeney, then it's not hard to see why Everton value Stones so highly.

I don't think many on here would have any qualms at selling Bony for £15m in a stand alone deal. If it means we get Stones then I'm all in favour.

Regardless, this is still only based on one single Sun report, so may well not even be true anyway.
Perhaps just based on the Bony Car photo.

It would make sense though. I'll be in a minority but I rate Bony despite accepting he's had a very difficult time at City. Not only has he had injuries and a serious illness, he has been on the periphery of the team. In and out, and constantly compared to Aguero. Almost all City's 2nd strikers have suffered in the long run. Dzeko, Jovetic all really struggled for similar reasons.

50 mil for Stones and 15 mil for Bony is a total piss take. Why the hell would we play hard ball over the fee all summer only to agree to this deal? I'm not having it.

Because the Sun have suggested he might be a makeweight to make the Stones deal happen, it's interesting to read how peoples perspective of Bony are changing from "utter dog turd etc"to "he didn't quite fit our system"
Well the people calling him dog turd are dicks aren't they.
It hasn't worked out for him here and he didn't fit our system. Not sure how hard that is to grasp.

Stones under Pep will be awesome, he has all the qualities needed to succeed at every level, he can do all the defensive work regardless of how he finished last season but his main attribute is the way he wants to play the game yes the correct way on the friggin ground folks, he is intelligent & will be a fantastic asset to City & become the best in Europe within 5 years & captain City. £50m is lots of money but if we don't pay it UTD or Chealsea will & we don't want him going there for 10 years no way. City get it done...

A lot of ifs buts and maybe there mate. No guarantees he will achieve any of that.

And yet they've got the same TV deal as us and we have Everton fans on here telling us what an ambitious club they are now they've got a very wealthy owner. No doubt they have lots of history but they're showing their true colours over this one and I'd like nothing better than for City to tell them where to shove it.
At least Bony looks fit and he might give us an alternative in games that need something different. I've always felt a bit sorry for him, in that MP used to play him/bring him on but the team stayed set up as if Aguero was playing.....

Thing is Bony still has a long contract here on probably 4 times more money a week than McCormack and is why 15m is about right.
