You are right , it is looking like a transitional season.
Currently the manager has a style of football but he hasn't got the players to implement it.
There is no excuse for this.
We should have been active in this window to bring in the players needed but we haven't, particularly in defense.
Guardiola didn't start quickly at Barcelona but he still won the title in his first year. I think doing a preseason in China coming off the euros will turn out to be a big mistake though.

I posted a week or so back that the last artwork I had seen didn't have a squad number against or for Stones, so I've dropped a cheeky text to my contact too see if I can get some info on this.

All seems very fieisble to me. If we are in the market for a new right back either now or next season, I can see us leaving the number 2 shirt free

City won't
be doing transitional seasons there is enough quality in the squad to challenge on all fronts by mid september all will be fine players fully up to speed and peps way of thinking ffs stop the panicking

Was hoping for some concrete news/movement on this today.

Doesn't take long to print up a shirt so why do it in advance to such a degree?

*feasible

but well done on the 'to'

Are some people really flapping because "we're doomed if we don't get Stones"? YCMIU He's not even the finished product he's good with his feet but he has mistakes in him like many young players and needs to work on his actual defending and positioning... so if you think this is some magic pill that will stop you from panicking think again. It's in you nature to then panic that we wasted upwards of 40million, when he does make some mistakes and the press gets on his back. Work on your own flapping and the season will be a more enjoyable one for you, self manage people.... self manage!

Nail on the head. China was pointless. Game called off and I'd argue we had at least two games less than the ideal amount in the first place. Should have gone somewhere in Europe and played 5/6 games.
This was Chelsea's prep last year and they suffered as a result.
As slow start could prove fatal.
Luckily we got an easy tie in Europe.
I just want to get to the international break with 7 points from the 3 league games

Exactly. The way I see it if we are not too far behind the leaders by December and do well over the difficult mid season fixture list we can win it. As long as the race remains tight and no team turns it into a procession this league can be won if we are strong in the second half of the season. That gives Pep 4 months to knock things into shape. However, realistically it will most likely be season 2017/18 before we see the best of City under Pep.

Don't have the time to catch up on all the pages but what is everyone talking about with a shirt printed??
