Jason Denayer is 10 times better than him and will cost us fuck all and read he would do well covering right back..

If we are in for Stones and Laporte. What doe this mean? Mangala has to be leaving? What about Denayer? Are we going to sign full-backs too? Which should be a priority IMO. And if so.....Sane + the new midfielders and GK would pretty much mean 7-9 new players. That's a lot of player coming in....and a lot of players that would have to leave. Can it be done in 1 window? And would we?

In:
Laporte
Stones
Gundogan
Sane
*another midfielder*
Out:
Zaba
Demi
Caballero
Kolarov
Bony
Mangala

Denayer will probably play right back and angelino will get promoted to left back

You say he's 10 times better but you've only "read" that he could do a job at right back? How about Stones & Denayer both being part of the defence Pep intends to build?

What are you basing this on?

'You've read' isn't really a sound place for judgement... Stones also has 2 years experience under his belt in a far superior league to what Denayer has played in.. He has potential but certainly not anywhere near stones standard, who is still making numerous mistakes, again down to the coach he's endured..

Denayer should come into the squad in the same way nacho has this year, softly softly!!

Bit off topic but as people are talking right backs here were we to sign 3 central mids gundogam, thiago, kroos could pep do something unusual and turn diniho into a attacking right back I think he would be superb there! ???

How to you attribute basic defensive errors to the manager?

Stones and Denayer could form a central defence for many years. Both are too young to have them playing together now but both will get games playing either in the centre or on the right.

Bringing them both into the fray now whilst allowing some time to improve, gel together and rotate is the ideal situation.

Age my friend, consistency comes from eradicating them over time..

You don't one minute have the capability to bring a ball out, read the game excellently, then suddenly lose that capability.... The manager has a duty off the field as well as on it... Looking at it, he's been let down massively by Martinez..

I'm guessing you're of the same opinion of Managala/otamendi and Manuel??
Raheem?? Nacho?

Anyone else worried that we'll lack experience next season? Stone, Laporte, Denayer, Sane, Sterling would be very inexperienced!

They are young but they all have getting on for 100 games under their belts in various top divisions and are all in their international squads at senior level.

Nope.

Just incredibly happy that for the next 3 seasons at least we will have the worlds best coaching and building the team and club.

Agree with the sentiment, the earlier the better for development purposes. However the issue with that is we have some serious rebuilding to do this summer, so not entirely sure this is the time to be splashing £80m on a future partnership at the back where we're already pretty well stocked.

Ideally we need 2 CM's (Gundogan + whoever), and given that Navas is supposedly leaving we'll need arguably 2 wingers, we also quite clearly need 2 fullbacks (RB+LB), a backup keeper & probably need another striker in all honesty assuming Bony is not in the plans. To me CB is our best stocked position (Denayer, Kompany, Otamendi & Mangala already).

Does make you wonder how much we could end up spending this window, Stones, Laporte & Gundogan are likely going to be ~£100m alone, and you'd think a minimum on top of that would be 1 fullback, 1 midfielder & 1 forward - unless of course we dip significantly into our youth pool, which would be nice (if not risky).

this ! being English is the major factor why we are going with this then....our homegrown quota is a mess....making expensive acquisitions to make up for it FFS

How exactly is our Homegrown quota a mess? We need four and we have four (Hart, Delph, Clichy, Sterling).

No. Tottenham showed the way this season. Lots of young players there and they would have won the title if they hadn't had such a slow start.
