He played as a right back Gala last season but Celtic, Belguim and us he plays as a centre back so why would 1 season make him a right back?

Stones was brilliant against Australia and the only reason we conceded is because Dier is a fool.

Don't get me wrong, I think he'll get games there. May even play there more initially but looks a centre half to me longer term...

This is quite interesting. I think Lukaku is an average player, and many here think Stones is poor. It will be in testing to see Everton make 100 euros on those 2 and have Koeman reinvest it. I think he is pretty shrewd buyer.

Don't thinkb1 season makes him a RB, I just think he is better at it. Just like Ivanovic at Chelsea. He was a CB who who could play RB. But with time they realized he is simply a better RB than he is a CB. I think the same will be true for Denayer.

As time went by, they realised he was just as slow and cumbersome in both positions.
 
another bang average england international to add to the collect ion we have have or have had (with the exception of Joe Hart and sterling)

Delphi - poor
milner - a work horse but nothing else
Stones - no better than any centre half we currently have (with the exception of Mdm)
Wiltshire (if he is a target) - complete sick note

I cant think of one england player either recent or int he current squad that I would have

Barry was excellent for us and AJ had his moments.

Current England internationals, personally I would have Delli Ali any day of the week think he is going to be a great player.
Kane is not a player we need but is definitely a top 4 player. If he gets fully fit I think Shaw will be a very good left back and the other two would be a step up on Kolarov and I would take Walker over our current right backs as well.

Kane wouldn't fit the way we play
DeliAli - maybe we will have to wait and see

Shaw, Kane, alli, vardy, rose all would be good enough in our side, most of them are integral to their sides
 
Stones under Pep will become a phenomenal player. He's just turned 22 and won't reach his full potential for another 4-6 years. I'd pay 50 million without blinking if I held the purse strings and offer a 6 year contract.

vary wouldn't fit into a pellers or a pep side...he is a decent enough player but he just wouldn't fit into a possession based side....and danny rose again defensively aint the best
