At least stones avoided all that though I'm sure the rag and scouse sympathisers in the press with stir up the hatred for stones should he make the move.....as predictable as Xmas
Well at least he wouldn't be joining from the media's darlings who are having a hard time accepting that ickle City are able to poach their best players.

Yeah its a silly myth. As if Stones would prefer to go on holiday rather than sort out the biggest professional move of his life. If he goes on holiday its because everything is sorted.

Or, he might decide to go on holiday because he's making the most of the very limited time he gets to go on holiday knowing he has an agent back home to take care of things if anything happens whilst he's away. People read into things like this way too much, same with them being on international duty. There's no valid reason why we couldn't of already signed him despite him being on international duty, and no reason why we can't sign him whether he chooses to go on holiday or not. Clubs are extremely accommodating, if there's nothing holding up a transfer other than the player signing on the line they'll make it happen wherever he is, be it on international duty, on holiday on the other side of the world or sat at home twiddling his thumbs.

Yea. I hear there are such things as 'phones' nowadays.

So you agree. If he goes on holiday everything is sorted.

No. That was an admittedly incredibly long winded way of saying the two aren't mutually exclusive. Where he does or doesn't go has no relevance to how close he is or isn't to signing.

Because he has an agent who has everything sorted. If he doesn't (say Koeman wants to meet face to face) then he would be a fucking idiot to say 'hold on everyone...going on holidays...schedule those meetings when I am back. If he goes on holiday...it is sorted, he has done everything he needs to do short of signing his name and having a medical.

anything over 30 mil for this kid (even in todays prices) is a complete and utter rip off

Not when Saido Mane has just gone for £36 million. That alone has raised the bar further still and makes KDB look like a bosman and Sterling look like a bargain.

I hope we do this Stones deal fast, anymore ludicrous deals like the Mane one then the price will probably increase even more.
