Reminds me of a signing made by Pep and co in 2009, Dmytro Chgrynskiy. Supposedly a footballing centre back destined for greatness. Bought for nearly £19M, played 14 games and was sold Shaktar for £11 M a year later. Since then he's played 52 games in 6 years and has just moved to AEK Athens.

This doesn't mean one or two cant be protracted on the city end to give pep a little time so see what he's working with.

Unless what some of the Everton fans on here have been spouting that their new investment party is going for it and is going to push Everton into the top 4, then he's surely leaving. When Chelsea tried to get him, he couldn't wait to pack his bags.

If the point above is not the case, he'd take us, Rags, Chelsea, Arse, probably even Spuds over Everton any day. Would assume he'd take Barca too after their rumoured interest (they're probably not too arsed) - didn't Tolmie (or another iTK) say he turned down Barca in favour of us?

Laporte I would have loved to have here based on his footballing ability before that whole renewal incident - Stones, would prefer we didn't to be honest.

I am. Can't see this guy being good. I've said it a million times the current English crop are average. The real gems are younger and ready to be shaped from our academy.

It might be true, but I'd have thought if Stones had 100% declared he was staying at Everton, it would be everywhere, they would use it as a huge statement to really show that the club under Koeman, is really going places.

I'll wait and see, but as it currently stands, I still think he'll sign for us!

I certainly think CM is an area pep wants to check out in training before going balls deep for a worldy.

Cheers mate....genuine question, if its done...why not get him in pre-season training with the other guys?....I know he'll have a few weeks off because of the euros but with Pep's first pre-season game only a few weeks away, why drag this out longer than needed? thanks

Not got the most patience in the world when it comes to transfer window time but it seems like Stones has wanted to come to City for a while now....dont see why we couldnt have negotiated with his club, during the euros....Will feel better once Sane, Stones and Peres are done....;)
