John Stones

Didn't Everton run our every bid for Lescott and Barry via the media? Hope they help Stones out and keep negations behind the scenes this time. Plus, Chelsea's Stones bids were almost minute by minute updates earlier in the year, can only think that Everton were putting that out too to keep them away. The fact that they haven't maybe suggests that one of players is also involved in a part ex, or they actually want to do a deal this time.

New ownership, different manager. I assume you don't mean Barry as well - we signed him from Villa.

They were extremely proffesional in the Rodwell transfer. David Moyes came to the stadium and it was basically sorted out face to face.

I would be very surprised if everything is not already in place. Just finalising the smaller details or perhaps Everton wanting to get their players in first. We are in no real rush, Stone is on holiday anyway.

Koeman is smart enough to know what 40/45/50mil can buy him and won't prolong this transfer and neither will the new owners if they want to start building their own relationships with clubs, especially us.

He will cost 70m at this rate if we just keep the bid in the Drafts folder. Especially when players like Jordan Ibe are going for 15.

lol! apparently though according to espn it has been prepared and is ready to go in.................same shite as 3 weeks ago then!! lol

I'm just hoping a lot of the work has already been done, just both clubs doing a good job of keeping it under wraps. It will be pretty frustrating if we haven't even gone through the bid-reject-bid-reject phase of a transfer.

Stones is probably on holiday, I've seen that a few of the other England players are at the moment.

Everton certainly aren't issuing a hands-off warning like last summer.

We're not going to announce all signings immediately when players need to be offloaded. It affects our selling fee negotiations.

I know what you mean, but on the other hand maybe City want to ensure they have the right players in before letting others go. So we are not in a position where we have to buy players for the sake of it. EG If Bony is to go I would expect a replacement to arrive before he is sold, otherwise we are a player light in that position.

lol!!! are you sure about that? :)

I'll have you know that Jordan Ibe is the next great dipper hope and the reason they don't care about Sterling since Ibe is a much better player anyway. It must be true, I remember all the dippers saying so when Sterling left.
