Anyone know when Mangala back in training? Sagna was back today, but havent seen any confirmation on Mangala? Maybe just reading too much into things but hoping Stones is close to joining!

Actually that's a bit unusual as I looked at the vid on the OS not long ago & they were wecloming back KDB & Sagna, both of whom played a fair bit in the euros, but no mention of Mangala.

Could mean nothing but equally could mean he's heading somewhere else.

Thats what I was thinking mate. Him and Sagna teammates in the euros but Mangala still not back with the squad? As you say, might be nothing but felt it was atleast worth a comment to see if anyone knew anything!;)

It may be there is a deal already in place for Mangala but we also dont want to show our hand until we have Stones signed up.

Funny thing is Williams is the better player at present and they'll pay a fraction of what they're demanding we do for Stones.

It's a short-term fix, but I agree it does suggest that they maybe preparing to sell Stones, or maybe it's a contingency just in case Stones goes?

I thought with their investment from Moshiri, and Stones transfer request, that in a year they'd have been able to identify a long term high calibre replacement. The Premiership is the most attractive league in the world so there's no reason to be signing 32 year old players unless you haven't got anyone else in the pipeline. That's poor planning. All this talk about Moshiri bank-rolling the club into a new era looks like nonsense to me. If they were serious we would have seen evidence of it in the transfer mkt, especially in central defence where Distin has gone, and Stones wants out.

Apparently Pep and Stones have had a meeting at Mere tonight. Dunno if already mentioned not read back
