We expecting any more after this? Stones, Gundogan, Nolito and Sane plus Jesus, Moreno and Zinchenko. We've spent a lot.

"quiet thread" seems to think so mate, but I'd be happy with Stones and the new striker(Jesus) joining in Jan!;) If we can get another CM before the window shuts, that would be a bonus!

I hope this is actually done and not just close and contingent on EFC getting a replacement in. They are going to find it very difficult to replace Stones just days before the new season.

lots of rumours about a couple of replacements they are after so hopefully there is something to it

id be happy with stones but i do think we are a midfielder short.....get both and id be happy......just need to keep kun fit as well

I think there is something in it, but after being so close for a long time I am hoping that it's going through regardless of what efc do. They might find it very difficult to replace him. I've seen those pictures of Kone in Merseyside but they might be fake or old. I think Sunderland are in a lot of debt, £150m plus, but I can't see them selling their best defender. it would be like accepting that they are going down, and that would be dangerous for them. i'd expect them to put up a lot of resistance to selling Kone.

Dunno if anyone's seen but there's a lot of stuff on twitter about Lamine Koné staying in a Liverpool hotel and the like, saw a picture of him and a Everton fan in a hotel apparently, and that's to be announced 'in the coming days'
