John Stones

i think in stones you have a cracking future prospect. we made a huge profit on his initial £3 million fee so i wish him all the best, personally i would have him playing in a deep lying midfield role where can collect the ball from defence and start attacks. can see him thriving in that role !

A fair few on here have suggested similar,i guess its that versatility that played a part in his purchase.

Fantastic bit of business for Everton, bought for 3M and only played 77 games for Everton. Lets hope he fulfills his potential with Pep.

Nah. I think the most important signing for Pep has gotten the least amount of love of all our Signing.

Partly coz he didn't cost what a player of his caliber would have cost
Partly coz he is injured
And partly coz we signed him so early in the window that fans didn't get enough suffering from wanting him time.

By a large margin Ilkay Gundogan is by far our most important signing. His signing pretty much made the rest have value.

All together we've had a great summer. Remove any single one of our signings from the list and we'd still have had a good Summer. But remove Gundogan and we are talking about an underwhelming summer with no addition to our soft Center. Ilkay is the signing that makes all the others worth it.

No wonder we went in for him first.

The Midfield General. The oil that lubricates the machine Pep' mind has created.

Don't sleep on Gundogan.

He's almost the forgotten man due to his injury, seems to have totally slipped under the radar what a class player we have. Cannot wait to see him in a city shirt.

I do now feel we have had a really good pre season. Lots of new Young talent, lots of pace, technical ability, and players who hopefully fit what pep wants. Exciting times.

Good interview with Stones, seems like a level headed guy. Nice to see his classy Instagram post thanking Everton, their fans etc. I thought it was poor that they didn't even thank him for his contribution, even if they were too bitter to wish him good luck...

"John Stones has joined Manchester City for a record transfer fee.

Stones arrived at Everton from Barnsley on transfer deadline day in January 2013 for £3million.

His Blues debut came in a League Cup win over Stevenage seven months later and, in total, he made 95 appearances for the Club, scoring one Premier League goal."

Looking forward to seeing him play, the fact Pep was so keen to work with him is really encouraging and he's so young if he fulfills his potential we'll have a great player for years to come.
