John Stones

Having Pep as manager for a start.

To have a manager so animated and involved with every aspect of training, going into the minutiae with individual players. I got a semi watched that.

If we don't win the league, it won't be for lack of work on Pep's part.
I agree, its fantastic we now have someone we can watch involve himself passionately on the training pitch but isnt that what a manager/coach should be doing?

I guess the total contrast from last season is a huge factor too.

Absolutely it is.

That and losing 1-0 at 70mins and the camera panning to a grey old man sat there looking crestfallen as opposed to someone with the ideas to change things around.

So excited for this season.

Without turning this into a Pellegrini bashing thread, last season was soul destroying at times - enthusiasm and passion badly missing.I think many of us forgot what we were 'entitled' to in regards a leader.

Anyway,it is exciting, very exciting......! so onwards and upwards and back on topic ;-0

If you go back to the videos on inside city from last season (or 3 seasons) of us training, I would hazard a guess you could count on 1 hand they wasn't playing that 1 touch piggy in the middle game. I can never recall seeing Pellegrini or any of the other coaches getting amongst the players on the pitch & coaching/giving instructions & from what we saw on the pitch last season & the lack or preparation for some games (a whole another topic), to see Pep getting so involved with Stones brings a huge smile to my face!

He's probably learned more this morning than in two years with Martinez & Roy Hodgson.

Love that video. You can see how class he is with the ball and great to see Pep is already giving him some 1 on 1 coaching.

I think he is going to prove to be a fantastic signing. It's evident from the interview that he is a great character and he looks like he is going to go to a completely new level under the tuition of Pep.

It's also great to have a tall defender. I always thought the last couple of seasons we have lacked height in defence. In addition he also seems to have filled out and seems more solid than previously.

If we can ever keep Vinnie on the pitch for a season they will be a formidable combination.

Always curious to know what Pep is saying in these videos as there are so many of them. It's obviously about positioning but you get the impression he needs to say this to every single player he comes across. Fascinating.
I also want to know why he is always pointing to some far away place. There is always that gesture to something far away :)
