John Stones

But we never win at home and we never win away, this song just confirms our away form is shite.

Great signing with lots of potential and a cool head for one so young. Let's hope Pepe can now blend them all together and get some pattern of play going that takes us to the next level. It would be brilliant if Kompany could have a long injury free run to mentor him some more.

What a great first interview! I'm actually more excited for the season to start having watched that. Just really refreshing to see a player genuinely delighted to be here and hopefully we'll see more appreciation from Stones and all the players towards the club and the fans this season

I doff my cap to you Oakie. You're the only one to comeback and say well done. The others that made me out as a bullshitter funnily enough haven't come back!
Although few pages back one chap did mention a kudos to me, :)
Take no notice of owt like that. I think a few have put their faith in some bullshitters in the past and now don't trust anyone new with new info. Don't forget on the internet you aren't real all we all are on here is a collection of digits that constitutes a username above posts we make.

From now on your word will be trusted by those who wouldn't trust you last week though I'm sure!

To the tune "Money Can't Buy Me Stones" by the blue dippers:

"The Scousers said 'he's not for sale',
But that just wasn't true,
Cos Sheik Mansour clicked his fingers
And now he is a Blue
We've got fucking loads of money
Money to buy John Stones..."

Cause what we've got is lots of money,
And money can buy you Stones,
Can buy you Stones,
Stones,
Can buy you Stones.....

Even more convinced the lad is going to be fantastic for us after watching his interview.

Humble and proud to wear our shirt it appears.

Brilliant.

"So how does it feel
To see him on that field
In that City blue
Playing just for you
Away or at home
He is that boy John Stones!"

Not read through the pages so sorry if already mentioned... Will he start alongside otamendi on Saturday?

"He wants to be at City, that boy John Stones, to play for Guardiola"

Personally underwhelmed by this one, mainly because I haven't particularly rated Stones during his time in Everton. Here's hoping watching him regulary changes my opinion of him, but my God if there's a club that needs a centre back to work out for it, it's us. Forza City.

Christ, I've been in work all day and not heard about this until now! Hopefully he'll be a good signing and prove to be worth the outlay.

Absolutely thrilled with this signing! I can easily see him becoming a legend with and for us, future captain of both team and country.

Potentially a fantastic acquisition. Seems hand made for a Pep team, will hopefully significantly improve our ability to play out from the back alongside Kompany/Otamendi - throw in Gundogan & potentially a ball playing keeper and we might actually be good at it rather than terrifying.

Had plenty of game time with Everton too so expect he'll make his debut against Sunderland.

a lot on one of the EFC forums are glad to see the back of him saying he's decent on the ball but pretty much below standard at defending, iv'e not seen much of him,,, so sour grapes or true?
And a lot are saying he's going to be world class.

Given he's just left and the nature of football fans, I know which set I'll believe.

They seem pretty divided on GOT. Some are happy he's gone, some are pretending they're happy he's gone, some are very bitter and quite a few are wishing him well. Nothing like it was with Lescott.
