if indeed we were planning on selling stones and otamendi, garcia also likely to leave now probably changes things as selling 3 CBs in one go might be much.

Pep always praises him as well, so might not be as discarded as seems.

Stones was discarded up until the moment Garcia announced he wanted out.
The club planned for Laporte, Ake, Koulibaly and Garcia next season.

I just think Pep is fed up with him. A 19 yo inexperienced cb and 35 yo Ferna ahead of him is quite revealing. We’ll see what happens.

A bit of an oversimplification. Injuries, playing garcia to get him signed up are jist a couple other considerations affecting his game time.

Time will tell. Wouldnt be surprised to see hom stay. Anything leas than 35m wouldn't be right, and few if any would offer that.

He's been fit for a while and we've known Garcia wanted to leave for weeks, he still couldn't get picked. Pep has had enough, he's a managers worst nightmare. He's simply unreliable.

not too much. Stones and Otamendi are glued to the bench anyway for obvious reasons.

if Koulibaly does indeed join, then it’s him with Laporte, Ake plus Fernandinho and then we have Harwood-Bellis as 5th choice. More than enough.

Which part?
Four CBs and a Fernandinho/H-B is more than enough choices for CB.

He has to go. This is the only summer we’ll get anything like decent money for him(2yrs left on contract) and he simply hasn’t done anything positive that I can remember in the past 18 months

A failed experiment, for a variety of reasons. Which is a shame as he looked like a future England captain 3 years ago

Isn’t it possible he believes he can fight his way back into contention?

Zin and Delph did so, with some short term success.

Despite the many opinions on Stones, I’m not sure we really know him all that well.

Have to agree on this, This is the summer were we will recieve a decent bid for Stones. He had plenty of opportunities to establish himself as a regular at centre half and kick on in his career and if anything he has gone backwards.
Pep clearly does not trust him, Playing Fernandinho, Rodri, Otamendi and Garcia ahead of him.
Time for Stones to move on.

We know he has let us down far too often, he has had more than his fair share of chances.

This should have been John Stones year, No Vincent Kompany, No Eric Laporte, Otto with no legs, what happened?

John Stones went missing yet again, please don't let the chance happen again.

Will we? What do you consider decent?
