John Stones

He isn't a club legend but he has played his part. I still have some respect for the player (despite what he has done in his private life)
Don't insult legends and players who have busted their guts for this club and compare them with John Stones.

We would move Tosin as well. He needs more games than Stones does

Stones needs games to get his career back on track. Getting 1000 minutes in his prime for the foreseeable future when he’s already lost his place in the England squad is a nail in the coffin.

Tosin can easily afford a season like that when he’s learning and developing as a 22 year old ball playing CB under Pep. He may well force himself into contention and even if he doesn’t it’s only going to up his profile as a player and plenty will be interested in him and the club will benefit from it from a monetary perspective.

Better off for now keeping Stones (if teams aren't willing to mach our fee) rather than stalling a younger player's career who chances aren't that great either at City.

Agree to disagree mate, I personally think it’s an absolute waste if Stones is here come the start of the season.

Keeping Tosin and stalling his career will be worse (considering he was ready to leave the first time around). Ideal scenario is both to go get good money as well.

On another note, I’ve read that Brighton have firmly shot down Ben White moving to Leeds, knocking back their final £25m offer.

It’s a big step back for Stones joining a newly promoted team and wages would probably be the issue, but he’s a perfect CB for Bielsa and would be a massive signing for them. Chance to move back to Yorkshire too and get his career back on track playing week in week out for a premier league team.

I reckon we’d happily sell to them for £25m. Probably completely unrealistic, but the Yorkshire link, our good relationship with Leeds and Pep/Biesla’s admiration for each other, it could be something that’s at least been discussed if Stones is heading out the door.
