Your probably right, I guess im looking at it in hindsight. As you say he was hyped up and Bournemouth probably thought he would end up turning a profit but just didn't work out. Solanke the same I guess from Bournemouth POV.I don't know. Is £15m for Jordan Ibe really that crazy in the current market, given that he was widely touted as a talented youngster and was still only 20 or 21 at the time? Solanke is a rip of for a striker that's only scored one goal, I'll give you that. The worst ones for Liverpool were a crocked Fernando Torres for £50m and Coutinho for £130m. Again in that case though, Barcelona were going through a period of overspending on crap. But Coutinho was always a 1 game in 4 player.
Torres again, Chelsea desperate for a striker and blinded by his ability of the past years. Coutinho, Barca being daft with money and not for the first time!
Back on topic though, 20-25m is probably going to be the best we can get, especially when a team is going to be expected to take on 100k+ in wages and taking a risk on someone whos not put 10 games together in 18mths.
