like all the other "red top" papers, full of crap mate, bout as reliable as the daily sport

Now that our striking department is pretty much the best in the Premier league its now time to patch up our defense. Dick Dunne is a must stay IMO. He has done so much for the club in recent seasons and i would be shattered to see him go to Sunderland. His disciplinary record isn't too great but still i rate extremely highly. We shouldn't buy John Terry. 40 mil for a player who is 28 and has persistent back injuries is a no go IMO. Bruno Alves will be my first choice to partner Dunne/Kompany/Ned in the middle. Hes so strong in the air and a great challenger for the ball. Only set back is his price tag around 28 Mil Euros but considering our financial position it shouldn't be a problem. Slot Richards at RB and Bridge at LB. Can really see City grabbing a 5/6th position this season or even break the Top 4 providing a team slips up.

imo if JT wanted to stay at Chelsea then improving his contract and getting it signed would have been a piece of piss and it would have happened whilst on tour.

if JT lands back in UK without having spoken then he will be ours.

Totally agree- The point is he still hasn't said he doesn't want to come to City-

The Times also appear to be bollocks. Earlier this week they were one of the papers saying he would announce he would stay, but now they've change their minds.

The Times said:
City expect to sign Toure, Joleon Lescott and John Terry by the end of August for combined fees of around £100m.

They then go on to quote £40m, £20m, and £15m as the fees. Am I missing something?

Exactly thats what gives me the feeling that he will come to City. Surely if he wanted to stay at Chelsea he would of publicly admitted so along time ago.

They don't have a fucking clue. Not only do they post two reports within days that totally contradict each other but they also can't add up.

The papers were printing what they were briefed by Chelsea. A few at the time said that they didn't think the situation was as cut and dried as Chelsea were making out, even though he may well of course end up staying, and that they were possibly trying to back Terry into a corner to some degree. That would appear to be the case if the latest reports are true.

I still think that Terry is uncertain as to which way he'll jump, but we're nearing the end game now and matters will be resolved one way or the other this week, when both clubs are back from their tours. I suspect that it could still go either way, and Terry himself is the only one who knows what would be the more likely outcome.
