Re: Chelsea reject Terry offer [Merged]

Oh, well Ajay is hinting on it then it must be true right?

Come on, just because he backed out of a game and hasn't made a statement doesn't mean he's interested ffs. Mr. Chelsea isn't going to leave his beloved club in the prime of his career for a mid table side which can offer him nothing but money, let's be realistic. Don't forget Terry is one of the best paid footballers around, he makes millions upon millions a year already.

Not to mention Chelsea have a very good shot at winning the league this year. Arsenal looks vulnerable, Liverpool has massive financial problems which could very well lead to on the field issues, Utd lost Ronaldo and Tevez. Chelsea looks in good shape.

You're all reading way to much into this. Terry hasn't made a statement and that means he wants to come join the club? Come on! I can see where you're coming from but come on, it's a huge stretch.

Can't believe that we have the means to scare Chelski half to death these days.

Oh Yessss

Chelsea are getting a taste of what it feels like to be on the wrong side of a club higher up than you in the financial food chain. Another, higher bid is expected to arrive from City this week.

Re: Chelsea reject Terry offer [Merged]

dont know if this has been mentioned but maybe this is terry trying to get a better contract off Chelsea by showing an interest in what we are offering him?

Don't care what money he is on.If we sign him it will a) sort out our defence and b) send a proper signal to the rest of the worlds players that we are a decent club to play for.

He is the sort of player we need.A leader and a world class defender.
He does have a habit of getting a 3 match ban around Christmas though......

i think we have a good chance with the players we have NOW, without the ones we are linked with to challenge top 4 going off the examples you used..

Re: Chelsea reject Terry offer [Merged]

Don't know if it's been posted but isn't John Terry a big Umbro sponsored player?

Perhaps there's some kind of deal linking all that together

That's a real Nike method, and we all know were Mr Cook came from and who owns Umbro.

I watched Terry and the Chelsea boys warm up before Robbie first game. I was impressed by how Terry was urging the players on, demanding they concentrated on the warm up.

Our lot were trying to knock a policemans hat off !

Terry would takes us to the next level of professionalism and, if you think about it, be in line to replace Mr Hughes later in his career, as I,m sure Terry is management material.

It's possible but not probable. They have a self-imposed wage structure now with an early cut off point over which they vow not to spend. If they abandon that policy then the lkes of Droghba and Lampard will pitch a fit and and demand a mid-contract pay rise.
