I hope JT makes a statement soon, as to why he wants to leave (if indeed he does). I'd like to know why even a month ago, he was harping on about wanting to be a one club player and loving Chelsea and now it is becoming quite likely he wants to leave? It's not so much he is leaving that irritates me, it's that he appears to be flat out lying when he has declared his love for Chelsea.

It's fair enough to move for extra money and not seeing enough potential at his current club, but just say so. Explain to the people that have paid your wage for the past 15 years that you want to leave for a less successful club that can offer more money and likely silverware in the future, and also explain why if your not happy at the club, why lie about it in almost every bit of press you have done?

In all fairness, if he goes he is going to a club that will be up there with Chelsea, United, Liverpool and Arsenal in a couple of years, but I'd say he is missing out on a brilliant chance to win some silverware this season. Sorry, guys, but I think Chelsea have a far better chance of winning something major than City this season- but just this season ;)

chelsea have not exactly set the world on fire over the last 3 seasons wining the fa cup twice and the league cup once maybe terry feels he has as much chance of wining these trophies at city and will pick up twice as much money for doing it

at the end of the day do you really think chelsea have a good chance wining the prem or champions league this coming season because i dont

I do, to be honest, we have signings coming in and at the end of last season we showed the best form of any team in the league- to be fair. A good manager and motivated team will lead to success, and there will be investment.

Obviously, I'm more than a little biased but I reckon if we get another striker and midfielder- one big name forward and a creative playmaker we will be in a better position to win anything than a Manchester United that have lost two of their best players, Liverpool who may lose players and have not signed any additional players, an Arsenal who are very weak and a Manchester City who are being built to be a world class team.

Yes, we haven't actually won anything of real significance in the past three years but have a look how close we were to dominating domestic and European football last season like United did- a penalty slip and a couple of dropped points (literally). This season was more of the same sadly, Scolari had a style which didn't suit Chelsea and he was stubborn to change, and he was the only manager I justify getting rid of. Now if you look at the form under Hiddink, you'll see amazing improvement- it just makes me think, if we had the tactical awareness we would have won the league... and in the Champions League, we should have beaten the team that went on to destroy United in the final.

Five Semi-Finals and a Final, suggests to me that the Chelsea team is one of the best in Europe.

Hopefully, Ancelotti provides that tactical awareness and will lead us to the silverware which i feel the team is good enough to get. I also feel it would be a good idea to start putting some of our youth talents into the squad as well as picking up young players from elsewhere.
Chelsea should have won more trophies in the last couple of seasons, but have lost out after managerial disruption. I agree that CFC are one of the best teams in Europe, but your squad is showing signs of age now, particularly up front where there are not many options.

Is abramovic still prepared to pump in the Millions? The investment in the playing squad has dried up to an extent in recent seasons, but it's got to the point now where you need 2-3 signings particularly up front.

Lampard is a special player, and I think you will be very reliant on him next season to continue to score the goals. Too reliant.

My fellow Chelsea supporter, I suggest PM'ing a moderator and disappearing off the board until the name is changed or you have permission to make a new account. It's just going to provoke a negative reaction, sadly.

Yes, Abramovic is still prepared to put the money in, but the boards stance is to only rely on the money as a last resort, and try and become self reliant and a bit of a normal club (something I predict City will attempt once a world-class team is built).

I agree about Lampard, hopefully we can take some responsibility of him by buying a creative player and hopefully exploiting Essien's stregnth and talent. Essien will be key to our success as he moves into his prime. He was excellent towards the end of next season and we should hang onto him at all costs.

I'm not arsed it's only a bit of banter ffs. If people are too sensitive to handle it they won't last long on here. I remember making a big fuss about watching that with my Chelsea fan housemate at uni. Regrets, I've had a few . . .

Oh, and by the way, "WE'VE GOT ROBINHO!"

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Fans coming from elsewhere, like myself, have to be civil. We shouldn't be provoking a reaction. We should be here to discuss the events which are affecting both of our clubs. I say we shouldn't act like dicks and hopefully we won't get abuse.

fair play mate, i like other fans coming on here. always good for bit of banter and a good discussion, which is what the forums for surely! We do get plenty of prats here on a wind up though like the 6nil fella
