yeh totally agree mate, i've mentioned carvalho on lots of different threads, is alex in ahead of him now, or is it just a case of carvalho getting a good injury free pre season under his belt and he'd be back in the team along side terry?

The only reason Alex was first choice last season is because Carvalho was missing due to injuries. When fit, he's easily the most naturally talented defender in our ranks and that includes Terry.

He doesn't have Terry's leadership but he's faster, better on the tackle and reads the game better. I'd pick him ahead of Alex and Ivanovic still. The only question is whether last season's injuries affected him to the point that he lost a bit of pace or become more injury prone.

now there's a player - carvalho. cos of his lack of games due to injury last season people seem to forget just how good this fella is. if fully fit would get into any team and that includes ahead of vidic/ferdinand.

I think what needs to be highlighted to the Chelsea fans on here is this:
John Tery is proclaimed as Mr Chelsea. Why? No player is supposed to be bigger than any club. The reason why JT is proclaimed as such is the fact that there is no real leadership at the club from any manager they have had in the last few years. Therefore, JT has assumed - almoast by proxy- the role that any top manager would assume. Fergie [as much as i loathe the idiot] is Mr M** U** because he has overall control over team affairs and no player is above his authority. JT on the otherhand is almoast the manager but on the pitch. That is, he has more respect and authority than the managers have and will have whilst he remains.
That would worry me a a Chelsea fan. It may also be a significant reason as to why since Mourinhio [their last fully in charge manager] they have faded as a prem force and can't win the CL.
Just my thoughts.

and YOUR mr.chelsea held YOUR precious club to ransom for a better contract..lol
I am gutted he aint come, but there are younger defenders out there and hopefully we may have our own mr.city in Nedum..
So thanks for your input now fuck off...

How to win friends, and influence people.
Yes Nedum looks a find prospect.

I say in all sincerity, IT'S HIS LOSS.

It's him who is perhaps £100k per week out of pocket (the complete idiot).

It's him who will finish his days playing for a has-been club

It's him who has missed out on the opportunity to take a ride of a lifetime with City rising up to be the greatest team in the world.

What a complete fool. I am disappointed he's been so shorted sighted but it really is his loss.

Just saw on SSN that Terry pledges future to Cheski and never considered leaving.

He's hardly likely to say "Actually it stinks here at Chelsea and I was all for leaving, but they have twisted my arm and reluctantly I have agreed to put up with it for a few more years". Is he!?!?!?

imo
lescott is the one we really needed as we haven't got a left footed cb

we need a taller cb than ned or dunne and at least one left footer. perhaps we should look to northern europe for the cb they tend to have the physical attributes suited for the prem,

oh well another target gone

but it will get easier over the next few years getting the big name players as we start challenging for the top and start playing CL regularly.

So it's looking like Toure, Lescott as the CB's we are going to sign with any luck. Definitely be an improvement to the squad if these guy's sign up.

Once the ruski packs his bags and it's coming very soon he will be sorry.

Close thread and move on.

I reckon the pissy little Essex Boy failed a medical in California on account of his crocked back and was told to do one. 'Cos the silence WAS deafening.
