It's not like Barry came here for any other reason then the money though. Not that I mind it's a really good signing. But wasn't he only going to a club with chumps league football 10 months ago?

If we start to shy away from signings because were worried what others think then we might as well give up now.

For fuck sake, we offered like 20k more than what he got offered at Villa. Is that a lot of money in wages? Obviously 'pool didnt want him. And even though Villa have Europe we look far more attractive.

A friend of my wife knows John Terry and is not surprised he is linked with us. They do not have any definate info but said that Terry had told Chelsea to step up the spending or he was off. They think he is using us to push Chelsea into spending big.

Yeah I'm not saying that we didn't look attractive because clearly we are a very attractive prospect at the moment! But Barry was desperate to get out of Villa and has clearly gone to the highest bidder. Seems a similar transfer to that of the Robinho transfer.
