Johnson broke down during Training?

I wish Johnson would sort himself out. City need some top, top people involved to get him right.

Send him away with a specialist.

I can't wait for his return. Regardless of what people think/say, he's up there with the best.

correct.

Selling him would have been the worst thing for him in my opinion, if he has got issues then it's the job of City to try their hardest to not let one of their academy players do a repeat of Gazza. He's still young and should be treated so.

Setanta reported that he'd failed a medical (Hip problem) whilst SSN reported (Somewhat later) that we turned down a £8m bid.

If Johnno was in Newcastle having a medical surely we'd already agreed a fee.

I'm inclined to think he failed his medical and we were ready to ship him out.

If that's the case then either I'm very unhappy at the club OR they know something that we don't?

I seriously believe he needs to go abroad for 2-3 months, somewhere calm and remote with a team of specialists who can get him fit and talk him round.

City NEED Michael Johnson. Here's hoping he gets himself right and proves all of his critics wrong.

How can you say he is up there with the best?? He has played about 30 games.

30 games more than I'd like to see Vassell, Caicedo, Jo, Benjani, Evans, Gelson, Ball, Garrido play.

Yes but no one is saying that any of them players are up with the best. The best midfielders in the league are Gerrard, Lampard, Essien and Fabregas.

In the next batch you have Barry, Carrick, Ballack, Cahill, Arteta and maybe a couple of others.

Johnson isnt in either of them two groups yet. I'd say if you ask Villa fans would they swap Reo Coker for Johnson they would say no, similar with alonso or mascherano at liverpool, even Noble at west ham.

What an opportunity he has. Let's hope he knows that and takes advantage of his fortune, as he certaainly has the talent....but there have been many before who have failed to make it despite that.

John, you're right. I should have worded my post 'potentially'.

Although I have no doubt that Johnson can be better than Barry, Carrick, Ballack, Cahill, Arteta etc.. some people might even put Ireland into that category after this season's performance. Would anybody have put Ireland in there last season?

Johnson has time on his side but his chance won't last forever.
