So Storrie says there has been a significant bid tabled, yet doesn't mention the name of the club. Could this be a part of a confidentiality clause perhaps? There was a report a few days ago (I think from The Times) saying we were preparing a bid for £18 million.

I listened to it on radio but just at the important bit HID started to say something and I missed the answer
Storrie mentioned CL football and the interviewer said well that rules out Man City and I am sure all I heard was a laugh from Storrie, so he neither discounted us or said we had made a bid was this right?
I still believe that Johnson will go to Pool to play CL football and link up with Gerrard.

I know on the summary talkshite have said we are ruled out because can't offer him CL although they are not ruling out a move abroad, but unless it is RM can't see any foreign side stupping up 18m for a right back.

sky sports news said around 2 o'clock today the only teams bidding for Glen Johnson are CHELSEA LIVERPOOL & MAN CITY.
That was their summation through the yellow scrolling bar, but the detail was that Chelsea and Liverpool had made bids, whist City had made an enquiry. This all cam to light after an interview with Storrie who also appeared on Talksport. He's not specific in his intervies, but your left with the impression that he's briefed the media off the record so they talk up an auction.
