Let's see if any of the officials are brave enough to pull up the England captain on this:

Yellow cards will be issued to players who:
  • Show visibly disrespectful behaviour to any match official
  • Respond aggressively to decisions
  • Confront an official face to face
  • Run towards an official to contest a decision
Offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures towards match officials

Red cards will be issued to players who confront match officials and use offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures towards them.

Physical contact with match officials
  • A yellow card for physical contact with any match official in a non-aggressive manner (e.g. an inquisitive approach to grab the official’s attention).
  • A red card for physical contact with match officials in an aggressive or confrontational manner.

Wont change owt its always how the referee will interpret a players behaviour or a tackle foul. Rooney tells the referee to fuck of every game the referee will just ignore it if he wants and another player this referee could send of.

Exemptions
  • Anyone with an established history of shagging 'granny hos' who has a thatch of pubes woven into the top of their head with be automatically exempt from this ruling.
Edited for accuracy.

It doesn't really answer the vexed question of "aggressive walking" though. As you say, I wonder who will get preferential treatment when these rules are "applied"? (Players and managers)

I thought they tried this a few years ago when they brought out the whole 'Respect' campaign. Any questioning of the officials would receive a yellow card. Obviously realised that it was only the shitehawks from across the road who participate in harassing the refs and decided to leave it alone.
See how we get in this time but from my recollection of last season the fat Scouse **** is still in their faces.

The captain, and only the captain should be able to approach the referee to point out an obvious mistake (e.g. Booking the wrong player) or to ask him to consult the ref's assistant IMO.

If they enforced this Rooney would be booked every game.

I hope they enforce this to the letter from the very start. Let there be 20 sendings off on the opening day....whatever it takes to for once make a stand...maybe even to the point of games abandoned for too many. This imo has been eroding the sport for years. Needs to end asap.

A few weeks of discipline and we might have hope of respect in the game for years.

But it'll only be enforced in the "minor" games and will die out within a few weeks. The FA don't have the balls to be consistent on anything.
