They reflected the times. The world was a much better and simpler place.
Their shows / humour haven't aged well, but I still enjoy the nostalgia.

Mike and Bernie Winters were about as funny as woodworm in a cripple's crutch. Ken Platt, Al Read, Jimmy Clitheroe and Dick Emery (a euphanism?) were pretty dire too
