Yep, my City head wants Mangala to stay cos I like him and I like tough defenders.. but only to play against Lukaku and A&E twice a season, which ain't the greatest logic.

I'd love to give Mangala more of a chance but if he was nervous on the ball before Pep got in the dugout, it would be a serious hot potato at his feet this season.

Mangala odd error gets overhyped. Bravo, stones otimendi made errors last season but they are forgiven. Our defence shot itself in the foot time and time again last season. Mangala wasn't part of it.

As I said our youngsters should be providing defensive cover otherwise what's the point. And if there is a key huge game Dino or yaya can play centr half. Yaya played centre half in a champions league final. With tosin and yaya is this really necessary?

Well guess I'm with Pep if he feels Evans can do a job I'm happy to go along with it. When he puts on that blue shirt he'll have my full support.

This site will be unbearable if Evans makes a mistake of some sort.

Well I was ridiculously excited for the season, but now I know Evans is coming I've given up on winning anything and I'm just hoping we make the Europa league.

I've stayed out of this thread, other than posting my own opinion on him, which is that I think he's a decent player, was impressed every time I saw him last season.

Nothing to get excited about, granted, however ticks boxes and in the grand scheme of things is relatively cheap at £20mil or so.

Come to the conclusion that every year the city transfer team have a raffle to decide which random footballer they will sign. Looks like Jonny Evans has won it this year.

I predict we'll loan him to Celtic next summer with city paying 80% of his wages.

That's sort of mine, but I haven't watched him enough to cast a real opinion. I will have a look and take a view, like any other cover/squad player we sign. Don't care who he played for a jot. It doesn't matter one iota to the club or affect his performances in any way .
