I'm not against the Evans signing, assuming he will be a squad player, but watching our defence struggle with Everton counter attacks I just don't see Jonny Evans bringing anything different or improving us. Kompany and Otamendi got the opportunity to bring the ball well in to the Everton half, which shows what centre backs in our team will be expected to do. I wouldn't imagine Evans is as comfortable on the ball as either of them. As for the fee, everyone is over paying in this transfer window but 30 million for Jonny Evans just seems mental.

I haven't the slightest issue with him being a rag, so you can f**k off with that remark. I have two issues, him not really being fit for purpose in our team, and more so possibly paying £30m for the privilege, and if you go back and check my other posts in this thread, I would have much less of an issue at what he is worth, about £10m.
