Jonny Evans

OK, I'll put it another way.... Do you agree that by the sounds of things Txiki & Pep believe that Evans is a better bet for cover this season than Tosin or Mangala?
Would rather Tosin as hes a local lad and I want youth to finally be given a chance since the takeover

Think Mangala is pretty shite (didnt want him at the time either) but hs would fine for a limited role as 4th choice centre back

English pundits are making Jonny Evans to be next fucking Beckenbauer. We all know hes bang average.

I dont trust our scouting team at all when it comes to centre backs.

Maybe it's the fact that lots of us don't rate Evans and add to that the fact he's a fucking rag twat into the equation then that's probably why people are getting pissed off.

City are always first for us blues but hating the rags for us older blues is part of our dna.

Evans got fucked off by the rags as not good enough and since then he's played for Sunderland and WBA and yet he's suddenly morphed into a Baresi type player who will improve us.

Evans is bang average and a rag too boot so I have to say.... IT'S A NO FROM ME

About sums it up for me

Not at the required price there isn't, at £10m I might have agreed, but above £20m there are no positives other than we seem desperate, hence the price being asked.
He's worth more than 10m. 30m may be overpriced, but if he's the difference between winning the EPL or finishing second to mu, I think I'd pay the 30. Check out the WBA forums; they rate him at 40-50m!

I think its because he was rag 3 year ago that's rattling the cages of many.

Here's thing why not watch him and Judge him in a proper side with a world class manager hey.

So if we don't have any alternatives in mind, we would rather go out and buy shit? Did you forget about Sinclair, Rodwell Delph et al.? So we are happy to go down the same route again considering tha fact that they are ridiculously difficult get rid off?
You say he's sh't, I say he's not. Not going anywhere is it. We really need cover for Kompany. He is better than what we have because as far as I can see that's Mangala and Tosin and one failed, and the other is untried, and therefore a gamble. At the very least he improves the squad and is homegrown - we need a quota of homegrown players in the squad.

The fee is not good. That's what happens if you leave it late. I wonder why we have done that?

Comparison is pointless, its 2 different markets completely, and Bonucci was not available to us for personal reasons.

Its one open market, City can buy players from Italy or Brazil.

I know Bonucci was willing to stay in Italy, but at the end his market value was 38m.

Buying Evans for 30m and selling Mangala for 20m remind me of buying Bony for 27m and selling Dzeko for 12m.
