We had 3/4 years of FFP which neutered us as a club to take into consideration. You say he's sh't, I say he's not. Not going anywhere is it. We really need cover for Kompany. He is better than what we have because as far as I can see that's Mangala and Tosin and one failed, and the other is untried, and therefore a gamble. At the very least he improves the squad and is homegrown - we need a quota of homegrown players in the squad.

The fee is not good. That's what happens if you leave it late. I wonder why we have done that?

How do you know that? If he was better than what we have then surely we would have put a bid in way before? People are forgetting than he plays for a Tony Pulis' side who always gives defense the highest priority. I am not saying we don't need cover for Kompany. In fact, I have said that before that we should be going all out for a top center back. he is not the answer.
