We could have had Stones for seven mill from Barnsley at a time his potential was well known.

We could have had Dijk from Celtic.

Sometimes we just don't seem interested in what's going on in our own backyard.

Anything above 20 mill for Evans is both taking the piss and signalling everyone else to take the piss.

This seems quite commonplace for the top clubs. They worry that supporters will howl if they sign a relative unknown from an unfashionable club. Then pay through the nose when they've been proven elsewhere.

Oh, Johnny! Oh, Johnny!
Evans above
You make my sad heart jump with joy
And when you're near I just can't sit still a minute
I'm so, Oh, Johnny! Oh, Johnny!
Please tell me dear
What makes me love you so?

Oh boo fucking hoo, I am getting sick of people making excuses as to why some youth team members can't get a minutes game time, he would be fucking cover not first team and you know a top coach would sort this out sharpish, if it can't be sorted he should have been moved on by now, saying youth team players are not ready for the first team is getting extremely boring, of course they are not ready for 30 games a season but by keeping them held back it stagnates them until you get to a point all potential has evaporated, they need some sort of game time in OUR team, whether that be in the shape of the league cup and I don't just mean firing 7 of them in the team and 4 wasters like Fernando and Bony etc a decent mix of firsts and youth, let us see if they can shine in an environment with real players alongside them.

Again Tosin looked good against Chelsea in the 5-0 surrender, him and Garcia (A) showed enough that they should have been given another look but that didn't happen either, thanks to Pellers, I don't think it would matter as much if Pep wasn't heralded as some kind of youth guru coach, so far at City that isn't the case.

Doesn't work like that and especially not for defenders. If injuries mean we have to play Tosin Adarabioyo in the Champions League final against Messi, Ronaldo, Lewandoski, Neymar or Dybala then we will lose.

It is not coincidence that Pep bought through a ton of youth players at Barcelona and Bayern and pretty much none so far here. It's because he doesn't think they're good enough and frankly he would know better than anyone.

If we play Evans against that lot, we lose.

And there you go the other response to go with fanny wiping, please close down the forum, no more discussion required, all our youths are shite and Evans is the answer to all our hopes and dreams in a champion league final.

I will leave you with this though...
