Absolutely this.
He will probably get serious shit if just named amongst the subs.
And if he wasn't an ex rag it wouldn't make him a better player than he actually is
Leicester started the bidding off earlier in the summer at £10m. The first bid is very rarely accepted but how do you go from £10m to £30m? Normally £15m would get the job done there. Crazy money.
I honestly believe we don't have a single person at the club who knows what a decent CB looks like or knows the true value of one. We paid a fortune for Mangala and Stones and the great big hope is Tosin. Not a clue.
This is being well overblown. He will get support when he plays for us. The only way there will be a problem is if he puts in some poor performances. He will be cut less slack than other players by a vocal minority. But if he joins us and puts in a few good performances when used he will be accepted by the match-going fans.
Genuine supporters will always back our signings, and that is not the problem.
my post was a bit tongue in cheek, but there are some serious planks on here who will undoubtedly be looking for any excuse .
TBH although you think you do, you don't actually know what I think about him, which is indeed based on what I have seen of him, when I have watched him. However for those who have positive and negative opinions on him, long may they continue to be able to express those views, irrespective of whether the manager, scouts, director of football might think, and irrespective of the fact that the said group of people might have got their assessment wrong. Even if they have, then however he plays in the Blue Shirt, he is wearing it, not a shit red oneI genuinely believe you, and most people on here, don't actually have a clue how good he is or isn't, and I include myself in that. You aren't going to convince me you watch 10 or 20 West Brom games a season to evaluate Evans, your opinion is based almost entirely on the fact he's an ex-united player who wasn't great for them, and he only plays for West Brom who you think are so far beneath us that no player good enough for us could be there.
So I'm going to side with the manager, scouts and every single unbiased observer who thinks he'll be a good signing. Maybe we'll be wrong, but I'd much rather take that approach than just blindly write someone off because they used to wear a United shirt.
