From their armchairs...
lol, could you imagine Pep coming out and telling everyone not to boo Evans. Bit like the Champs League.
From their armchairs...
WBA play a defensive game where they seldom attack and tend to have 5 defensive players so most players would be ok in that position...how would he cope if everyone is bombing forward leaving him against somebody with pace ....we play football and build up from the back. Evans has the control of a rapist.... seriously he shouldn't be on our radar.
As for people saying if pep thinks he's good enough then that fine by me...bollocks to that...we all have our own opinions and mine is we should avoid this rag twat like the plague.
Wouldn't want him if he wasn't an ex rag btw...don't think he's anywhere near the quality we need if we seriously want to compete with Real, Barca, Bayern etc....be honest can you see PSG wanting him lol....no fucking chance.
As I say it's my opinion that it would be a huge waste of money to buy him...but each to their own eh.
Terry or Huth? Be serious. The fact is he's played an entire career in the Premier League but he is 29 not mid 30s, and most football fans would regard him as a decent if unspectacular defender.
We've got Stones and Kompany. You decide to either replace Stones, or provide back up. We've gone down he back-up route. That's sensible imo

So we wont pay 120 and 60 for mbappe or sanchez doesnt mean we are not interested just trying to negotiate lower feesPEP says we have to be careful we have not much of are budget left eh no striker weve got 1600 pages for what?
Absolutely, plus he is experienced in the Premier League, and physically strong. He's homegrown, vastly experienced and is a much better passer of the ball than Mangala. That's it really.
Presumably our budget is prioritized for other targets though. Jonny Evans is presumably regarded as a cheap but viable temporary solution and will replaced with a top CB in a future transfer window.Maybe Mangala doesn't want to be fourth choice and would rather leave and play somewhere else where he'd feel valued.
Having said that we should be looking at other options though.
As opposed to pep not fucking thinking lol
Agree.
In May, I watched him make mistake after mistake at the etihad. Bullied by aguero and Jesus. If he were to play in chimps league a disaster.
They rejected 20m so now we offer 25m ?
Because West Brom want to keep hold of him and when he's there he can be the captain and MVP (if you'll excuse the term). United let him go because they had far better defenders then than they do now, Evans would walk into their team ahead of Lindelof and Smalling in my opinion, and would partner Bailly. So why is he not already at a top four side? In fact why did Utd let him go given he's superior to so many other cbs?
For the most part they're shite. I mean, Joel Ward? Really?I see that as a damning indictment of defenders in the Premier League.
All that bothers me is can he do a job for City in the absence of Kompany, and I think he can. VVD would make me even more confident but if we do that, we push back Stones. It's a good move for City. On paper anyway. Especially if it allows us to go for a striker. That is an aspect that is being ignored here. At the weekend Pep said he wanted 1-2 more players. This is part of the package. I cant compare Evans to VVD and say that Evans is better, but it's not as simple as that.no...we add a third quality centre half so we have rotation without a huge drop off in quality..which is what we will have with evans....the squad depth is constantly spoken about on here....this signing doesnt add to it
