Of course there wouldn't. Likkle City still exists.

Most people are more bothered that their mate is going to go "LOL U signed a United reject!" on social media than caring what kind of player he is.

Yep, could not agree more. Pathetic.

If we do sign him, I sincerely hope he doesn't get the Bravo treatment. Cause we'll be dooming a player before he even makes a start and that's only gonna fuck us in the ass.
Internet reaction rarely matches reaction in the ground. If he signs and comes on as sub or whatever he'll get a small round of applause and that will be pretty much it.

He will get problems if he makes continual mistakes, though.

Huge overreaction

Solid signing for a reasonable price given the current market

Pep's style of centre half and a position we need to strengthen

I'm in

Seriously. Why do you care? If he comes in, plays well - and he's a very decent defender - and helps us win stuff, who the fuck cares about his previous clubs?
I'm pretty sure a lot of people care about his previous club

He's voicing his opinion which he's entitled to. It doesn't mean it's talking sense whilst those opposed to the signing don't know what they're talking about.
Oh, and a reasonable fee? Really?

Who would you go for instead? and yh in THIS transfer market its reasonable.

Not saying people don't know what they are talking about but using the excuse of "oh he's a rag he's shit" fair enough if he comes and is shit or whatever but the guy hasn't played a game and got people saying they will boo etc.

It is summer holidays after all.

No surprise some differing views from "PANIC" are appearing at lunch today.

Anyone out there who has worked with him or has played the game thinks he will be a shrewd signing. He's a leader, can read the game well, is two footed and can play as well. Would be a decent bit of business as he will already be an improvement on Stones.

I'm for the signing now, aslong as the price doesn't get silly. £20m would be a decent fee in this market.

His leadership alone is a big asset for a somewhat eccentric defence when Kompany is out.
