Having thought about this signing over the past week after initially hating the idea of signing him,my main problem was that he is a United fan and ex player. The fee isn't an issue and I can't understand fans getting upset about it,it has no affect on us. Guardiola obviously wants a player with experience which I can understand given Kompany's injury record. Evans is an organiser which will be if huge benefit to us when Kompany is rested. Saying he is rubbish is wrong. Saying he will be brilliant is wrong.Is he what we need for this season?..yes.

He's good at defending in a team that puts ten men in defence like err...West Brom, but in a high line, as the man said, no way.
Mangala for all his faults is more suited to this role.
