I'm not sure why such a serious topic has given rise to so many insensitive comments. My understanding is that the individual in question was so concerned at a sudden growth of hair in the pubic area, she consulted with the team doctor. When he sought to reassure her that this was perfectly normal, she replied "Yes doctor but it's all the way down to my bollocks!"

If this is a trans rights issue, and the goalkeeper identifies as female, it's obviously a very serious thing that needs to be looked into.

It's not just about identifying as a woman though. Was involved with a ladies team at amateur level and there a trans woman who played and the FA made her go through all sorts of tests to ensure various levels of hormones weren't too high etc. Looking at the photos the stance is very male like but that doesn't mean she isn't a trans woman. Very complicated subject.
