We're looking for a pivot and someone that can play across the front line, not a no 10 with zero creativity that hangs around the box looking for loose balls. He'd still be sitting on the bench behind Silva and KDB when they were both in their 40s.

He could easily play a deeper role. I agree he is not that creative. Thats why his tackling and energy would be perfect for the ferd role.
He can also break from deep and arrive in the box to weigh in with goals

Alli! Really overhyped spuds player that can run and goal hang

If Napoli keep fucking us about we should move on. The way Delph has been playing gives us plenty of midfield cover in any case.
Delph is a good backup LB. Nowhere near good enough to play in midfield for us. We can't rest all our hopes on Fernandinho not getting injured again next season.

He'd be a disaster at pivot in this side. Bad first touch, can't play under pressure, zero vision, poor passer.

I guarantee we are haggling over £5 mill tops . If pep wants him just pay it in my eyes this guy is £50 mill all day long so can’t understan why we are lo balling again

I think the club would probably prioritise saving a couple of mill above satiating your need for news just cos you're a bit bored now the football season is over. Seriously, what odds does it make whether or not a deal is concluded now or in two weeks time? I think some people need to get a summer hobby on here.

The kid will probably be on 200k per week, very clever from City, saved around a million in wages already! Spin it out for another month then meet them halfway.
I should do the transfer strategy.

I think Sheikh Mansour, Khaldoon and Soriano have draw a line in the sand regarding our over spending on players. Sanchez is one example.

They no longer want City to be seen as an easy ride, where we will pay whatever it takes to buy and to get a player.

Unfortunately selling clubs still see the old City. A cash cow that will pay their asking price.

So City now have a figure. They also have two cheaper alternatives.

Unfortunately that means we could miss out on our first choice players and targets.

It looks like that's the risk the club are willing to take.

I think a player would be pretty desperate to help oil the cogs of a move now as well. Hopefully Jorginho will be pushing on his side to get the move.
