Jorginho

I think Sheikh Mansour, Khaldoon and Soriano have draw a line in the sand regarding our over spending on players. Sanchez is one example.

They no longer want City to be seen as an easy ride, where we will pay whatever it takes to buy and to get a player.

Unfortunately selling clubs still see the old City. A cash cow that will pay their asking price.

So City now have a figure. They also have two cheaper alternatives.

Unfortunately that means we could miss out on our first choice players and targets.

It looks like that's the risk the club are willing to take.
this could be a real sea change for us. The big spending now only goes on 1 exclusive 1 we player. Team players will want to join us rather than incentive based deals.

I think a player would be pretty desperate to help oil the cogs of a move now as well. Hopefully Jorginho will be pushing on his side to get the move.
I read something on this thread earlier today which mentioned Jorginho was pushing for a move, let's hope his efforts are rewarded.

To be honest I'm quite enjoying watching the mickeys and the rags throw money at clubs and players in a desperate attempt to overtake us.
These same clubs, now splashing obscene amounts of money, who are forever telling my club on more than one occasion that winning titles and trophies is hollow because we've spent a lot of money, are now doing what we did 10 years ago in order to catch up with us.
Lovely jublee.

If

People complaining that Liverpool are getting their deals done quickly, don't forget that they aren't dealing with another PL club and an Italian club who have an owner who is a complete tight arse and will suck every single penny out of you... they have dealt with Monaco and Lyon... 2 teams who are nowhere near as difficult to deal with than the 2 clubs we are dealing with.

Not forgetting we are City not Liverpool. Clubs want to bleed us dry. At this stage Of the club evolution, we should not still be overpaying. The club got it right by sticking to their plan.

In my opinion we haven't overpaid for anyone since probably Fernando, in fact I would say that the majority of our recent (3 summers), are worth considerably more than when we signed them, and going back further, I'd hardly say any of our key signings were over priced.

The media might (do), but just ignore them, they're not relevant.

You forgot about Jo. ;)
